Fly Free…

Hi everyone I’m back with this weeks DT post for Imagine Design Create and I’ve opted to use the fabulous Fly Free set of stamps again…. I absolutely love this set!  Read on to see a  photo of the finished card, and all the materials & instructions you need to make it.

What you need –

What to do –

  • Cut black card slightly smaller than the card blank and white card slightly smaller than this.  Glue the black card to the card blank.

  • Using masking tape, mask off a central panel of the white card.  Using a blending tool blend cracked pistachio DI from the top to midway, then blend Mermaid Lagoon from the bottom up to midway.  Ensure you give a good blend where the colours meet.

  • Keep the masking tape in place, and stamp the feathers with birds – use Cracked Pistachio to stamp on Cracked Pistachio, and Mermaid Lagoon on Mermaid Lagoon.  I find this gives a nice subtle look to the finished panel.

  • Take the ribbon and tie it around the card, then mat this on to the black panel on card blank.

  • Stamp the sentiment on to white card, cut out, and mat onto black card.  Adhere to card using foam pads.

  • Use Versafine ink to stamp two large feathers on to spare white card.  Cover these in Anita’s glossy and allow to dry.  When dry, cut out and use foam pads to attach to ribbon.

  • Finish off card by adding 3 black adhesive stones to the top right and bottom left corners.
