Hi Everyone ….Little bit of basic masking today…….
Under the Weather Spotty Card.
Before I started the card I stamped the two clouds I wanted to use onto post it notes…making sure a good part of it was on the sticky part! Then I cut them out and voila I have my masks.
So, I took one square piece of black spotty card and a smaller square piece of plain white card.
Onto the first card I used Memento London Fog to stamp my first cloud from the Weather words stamp set from Imagine Design Create, then I gently placed the corresponding cloud mask onto the design and the stamped the second cloud in the same ink slightly overlapping the masked cloud. Then I placed the mask onto the second cloud too. I used the sunshine stamp form the same set and then again slightly overlapping the masked clouds stamped with Versacraft Maize. The effect you get is a lovely sunshine peeking out from behind grey clouds….To make the sun really shine I dried off the ink then went over the top with a the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Sparkle clear overlay pen… I then added a few raindrops from the same set….(yes I know mine are upside down….I like them like that …Honest!...no mistake here !!...who am I kidding?!) I edged the clouds, sunshine and (upside down!) rain with tiny black dots with a very fine liner black pen.
Finally to finish I stamped the “Sorry you feel under the weather” from the same set under one of the clouds in Versafine Black Onyx
I then stuck the design into the middle of the larger spotty card with foam pads and attached to the card blank.
See you again soon
