Happy Birthday Balloon Window

Hi everyone Today I got out my most very favourite Distress ink colours (picked raspberry, Peacock feather and twisted citron) and just decided to have a bit of fun!...

birthday balloons

Onto white cardstock I used the windows and shapes stencil and inked through with all three of the colours, I love the way these blend together to get blues greens and oranges. After spritzing and blotting with water, I then used the circle mask that comes in this set to create a couple of highlights, place the mask down then just gently blend around the edge to create a faint border.

Then with the window stencil still in place I also placed down the balloon stencil then the butterflies hearts stencil to get the heart patterned balloons then I inked through just the balloon stencil with versamark, I then carefully removed the stencils and heat embossed with clear embossing powder to give the balloons a real shine. I then edged the balloons with a fine liner pen to really make them pop off the page.

To finish off I added  the happy birthday sentiment from the Block sentiments set, added  a bit of free hand doodling and matted onto black cardstock.

See you soon
