Just thought I would share a gift box that I made recently using the balloon stencil set. Gift boxes can be so expensive and I don’t know about you but they are never quite what I want.
Firstly I made the box template using just plain white card and a scoreboard, this one is 6 x 6 as I thought it fitted the stencil size well but you can obviously make it any size you need.
Before assembling the box I inked all over with Distress Oxide Ink (Picked Raspberry) and spritzed with a bit of water to get the mottled effect. Then on the lid piece I stencilled the balloons with the same ink. I dried everything odd with a heat gun then added a small star from the stencil again with a white gel pen. Around the edge of each side of the lid I stamped the happy birthday sentiment from the Bird Silhouette stamp set again in the same ink. Then I assembled the box and added a ribbon border and bow.
The card is done with exactly the same inking and stamping technique. Well everyone loves to receive matching things don’t they?... or is that just me…..?
See you soon
