Border Sunray Card

Posted on

Hi everyone

A really simple card today but just wanted to highlight how you can use your stamps in different ways to which they were intended.

To start with I had a 5” x 5” piece of white card, a die cut ring and a small die cut circle.

So I placed the ring onto the card and drew a faint pencil line to get the starting position for my “rays”

Then using the “bubble border” from the Abstract Border stamp set using versacraft minty green I stamped all around the pencil line create a sunray effect.

Using the same ink pad I stamped the sunshine from the Weather Words stamp set onto the small circle. Once the ink was dry I also went over the sunshine with the Spectrum Noir Sparkle Clear Overlay pen…for that bit of bling!

To colour the ring I rubbed the same inkpad directly onto the card until completely covered.

I then attached the ring and the circle to the card using foam pads ensuring the ring covers all the ends of the “sunrays”.

To finish off I stamped “Have a Great Day” stamp from the Block sentiments set in Versafine Onyx Black and attached with foam pads.

So get your stamp sets out and try to look at them a little differently to see if there is any other ways to use them!

See you soon
