Rainbow swirl with cat paw print stamps

Posted on

Hi everyone!

The 2 great loves in my life are my 2 cats Honey and Sandy who I adopted from a shelter at just 10 weeks old.  They are now 18 months old and still utterly adorable (I admit I am biased!!).  So when I discovered Imagine Design Create had a Cat Paw Prints stamp set I was delighted! One of my recent makes with the set has been this rainbow card.

What you need:

Distress Inks: Wilted Violet, Salty Ocean, Cracked Pistachio, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Festive Berries

Staz On Jet Black Ink

How I made it:

  • I started in the middle of a square of card (I used one of the mat and layer cards from Imagine Design Create) and blended the festive berries followed by the spiced marmalade, mustard seed, cracked pistachio, salty ocean and wilted violet.  I tried to keep it fairly circular in design

  • I then spritzed with water and dried with a heat tool

  • I used the small paw print stamps to stamp in a spiral over the colour blend using the co ordinating distress ink colours

  • On a small piece of card I blended some festive berries distress ink and again spritzed with water and dried.  I then stamped the paw print heart sentiment in jet black staz on and cut it out.

  • I attached the heart to the centre of the rainbow using 3D glue gel

  • I finished by stamping the cat silhouette and the wool ball in black staz on

Happy crafting!!
