Time for tea stamps, stamping onto distress oxide background

Morning, today's card is made stamping on distress oxide background on watercolour card, and focal point stamping in archival ink grey ink, using IMAGINE DESIGN CREATE's Time for Tea stamps.

This card was prepped for my last Imagine Design Create show on HOCHANDA, but we ran out of time. It does mean however that it is now a perfect project to share with you here. I have created a mini tutorial to show you how the card is made.

I wanted to share the techniques on how to create the background and show you (especially if you are new to crafting, stamping or even mixed media) just how easy it is to create such an effective, arty looking background.

Scroll down to find the video, and I'll list the items here that I've used just in case you fancy having a go yourself as you watch.

I won't give you the measurements because its really all about the technique. I worked onto a pre-cut size of watercolour card (only because I was fully prepped for the show) but I would definitely recommend working on a larger piece of watercolour paper, and cutting it down to size, choosing your favourite section.

I've used

Watercolour or Mixed media cardstock

Distress Oxides - Antique Linen, Spun Sugar, Worn Lipstick

Imagine Design Create Time for Tea A6 Stamps, Nesting Hearts & Flowers A5 stamps

Archival Ink (Wendy Vecchi) - Watering Can

Crafting with Family

I have an alternative to the above card here, showing just how you can adapt techniques and stamp designs to suit you. I made these cards during a crafting sessions with Mum. There is alot of distance between us, we're actually in different countries - I live in Ireland and Mum is in the UK. With the help of social media we are able to chat and craft via a video call, have you tried it? It works remarkably well.
